great-grandfather reads the ‘Baby Shark’ book without knowing the song, Hilarity ensues

A heartwarming video from North Carolina is making everyone smile on social media. It shows a man reading a “Baby Shark” book to his great-granddaughter. What makes it special is that he has no idea there’s a song called “Baby Shark.”

Cristalena Potvin, who is the little girl’s grandma, shared this sweet moment on TikTok. The video shows her dad, the little girl’s great-grandpa, trying his best to read the book, even though he’s clueless about the famous “Baby Shark” tune.

“He had no idea about the ‘Baby Shark’ song,” Cristalena shared. “He just read the book in his own way, which was totally different from the song.”

While he’s reading, you can hear laughter in the background because his version is nothing like the real “Baby Shark” song.

At one point, he comments to his great-granddaughter, “Silly sharks, they all say the same thing,” and then looks at the grown-ups, saying, “People actually buy this?”

In another touching moment, a woman who had just beaten cancer said “yes” to marrying her high school sweetheart.

The “Baby Shark” song is really catchy and comes with a fun dance where you pretend your hands are shark mouths. The version that most people know and love was created by Pinkfong, a company from South Korea that makes fun educational content for kids. They put the song on YouTube in 2016.

By 2020, “Baby Shark” had become super popular. It even beat “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi to become the most watched music video and the most viewed video overall on YouTube, according to the Guinness World Records.
