Arkansas Pastor’s 2 Daughters Die After Train Crashes Into Family’s Truck

A tragic train collision last week in Arkansas led to the death of two daughters of Pastor Chad Fryar and left him and his son injured. The incident took place in Clark County, where a Union Pacific train crashed into a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado attempting to cross the tracks. The accident occurred just before 2 p.m. local time on Richwoods Road near Arkadelphia.

The pastor and his three children – two daughters, Marlee Jo and Dana Kate, and one son, Bo Henry, were inside the vehicle at the time. The train collided with the passenger side of the truck, leading to the deaths of Fryar’s daughters and injuring him and his son. The tragic news was confirmed by the CrossRoads Cowboy Church in a Facebook post.

Following the crash, Pastor Fryar and his son were rushed to the hospital and have since stabilized. The CrossRoads Cowboy Church community has expressed deep sorrow over the accident, with Pastor Ron Riddle stating, “We are devastated by yesterday’s tragic events and the loss of Marlee Jo and Dana Kate,” and urged the community to “continue to pray for their healing.”

Pastor Fryar, along with his wife Rachel, was instrumental in establishing the Bismark location of CrossRoads Cowboy Church. Their invaluable contribution was recognized by Pastor Riddle, who affirmed their faith in God and belief that it would guide them through this challenging period.

Following the accident, Pastor Fryar has been discharged from the hospital, while his son underwent a successful surgery. The church’s recent updates state that both are recuperating and “getting better every day.” However, the church has also acknowledged the difficult days that may still be ahead and encouraged continued prayers for the family.

Throughout the ordeal, the community remains steadfast in their faith, believing that God has a larger plan. As Riddle told local news outlet KARK, “Just trust that God has bigger plans, things that we cannot see yet. I am going to trust that he’s got this.”
