‘Baby hulk’ with rare condition defeats the odds
Armani Milby has been nicknamed a ‘mini Hulk’ due to a rare medical condition she was born with, leading to an unusually large chest and arms. Despite being delivered via C-section at a mere 33 weeks, she weighed an impressive 12lbs—over triple the average weight for her gestational age.
Her mother, 33-year-old Chelsey, mentioned that her bump’s size led people to assume she was carrying triplets.

Upon her birth, Armani was diagnosed with a severe case of lymphangioma, a condition causing benign growths in the lymph vessels, giving her the appearance of a ‘mini bodybuilder’.
Living in Kentucky, US, Chelsey learned of Armani’s condition during a 17-week ultrasound when doctors expressed concerns about suspected fluid around the baby’s heart.
Even when faced with a dire prognosis of 0% survival chance for her unborn child, Chelsey decided to continue with the pregnancy.
She disclosed, ‘The diagnosis was entirely new to me, and upon researching it, I found some of the images quite unsettling.
‘To be honest, discovering this was devastating. It was heartbreaking. I couldn’t grasp what went wrong since I already had two healthy children. It led me to tears daily, wondering why this was happening.’
Despite the mention of abortion as an option following the detection of significant concerns with her unborn child, Chelsey and her family never considered it. They were focused on understanding how to support Armani post-birth.
She added, ‘They gave her no chance of survival. They believed she wouldn’t make it and probably wouldn’t cry at birth.’
