Bride Stops Wedding Before Saying “I Do” When She Realizes Her Dress Is Not Complete

Brides want to look as perfect as they can be on their wedding day. And before she exchanges a vow with her fiance, there are a lot of things going on behind the scenes. Brides are usually the ones who have a lot on their minds on the day of the wedding. They are hoping that everything goes as planned.

It’s such an exciting but stressful day for her. Most of the time, they are the ones who notice the tiniest details that need to be fixed that other people don’t even catch. There are a million little details to get right. They feel responsible for pulling everything together.

And when it comes to her wedding look and dress, she’s the one who personally picks them. That is why when this bride realized something amiss while exchanging vows, she had to stop her wedding before she said “I Do.”

Becky Jefferies made it all the way down the aisle and was already face to face with her soon-to-be husband. She then noticed that her wedding dress was missing a part – the tulle of the skirt!

Beckys’ dress was sleek and form-fitting. She had a separate full tulle skirt that was custom-made for her wedding dress. This is usually designed for her to transition from formal to festive attire without having to change clothes, like how brides do back in the day. However, she forgot to wear the tulle skirt.

Becky shared this hilarious moment on TikTok and it quickly went viral. In her caption, she wrote:

“Me in the middle of my wedding ceremony realizing I’d made a terrible mistake.”

In the video, Becky can be seen taking the mic from her officiant and turning toward her guests, saying, “Um, pause for a moment… I just realized when I got up to the end of the aisle that I’m missing half of my dress.”

She then said, “Maybe I could put it on now?”

The guests at Becky’s wedding laughed and applauded when someone brought the missing part of Becky’s dress to her and assisted her in putting it on.

She then jokes, “I’m sure you guys have never been to a wedding like this before.”

Well, that’s definitely a first not only for the guests but for those who have seen the video on TikTok.

Her story was even covered by Inside Edition on YouTube which now has over 300,000 views. People can’t help but flood comments for this comical moment.

One person wrote: “She was hilarious and hope that humor will be a mainstay in her marriage.” Others can’t help but notice how stunning she looked on her wedding day. This commenter wrote: “She handled that situation perfectly. I love how even though she was probably very embarrassed, she kept her cool and laughed about it. There are others who have also noticed how it could have been a heart-stopping moment for the groom. One wrote: “You know her fiancé was sweating and his heart was racing when she said “pause for a moment”. I’m sure he was relieved that it was only a dress issue.”
