Bridget Marquardt Openly Talks About Her First Time With Hugh Hefner
Hugh Marston Hefner was an American magazine publisher. He was the founder and editor-in-chief of Playboy magazine. About 20 years ago, there was a show about his day-to-day life and his three girlfriends at the time, Holly Madison, Kendra Wilkinson, and Bridget Marquardt. The show was called “The Girls Next Door.”
Holly and Kendra have talked openly about their experiences in the Playboy Mansion in the years since, but Bridget has been more guarded.
Then in August of 2022, Bridget openly talked about her relationship with Hugh Hefner on Juicy Scoop With Heather McDonald. She revealed intimate details like how their first time having sex went down. Marquardt moved in at the mansion at 28 and spent several years branded as one of the mogul’s girlfriends.
According to Bridget, when she first began showing up at the mansion, Hugh was instantly smitten and wanted to date her, but she refused. She said, “I was like, oh no, I’ve heard stories about what went on. I just really want to be a Playmate.” She added, “He was very gracious and nice about it, everything was fine.”
Over time, her plans for her career didn’t go as planned. So she gave in and agreed to date Hefner. Eventually, she resolved to have an intimate relationship with Hugh Hefner in order to advance her standing at the mansion. She said, “I was thinking I could get out of this a little while. The first night I was like, ‘I’m not ready yet, I’m not going to do anything I don’t want to do.'” She added, “It’s not like I never would have done that with him, but I wasn’t ready at the moment.”
Bridget adds that other women at the mansion told her that if she did not have sex with Hugh, he would stop inviting her to the parties. And of course, this could have a negative impact on whether or not she will be featured in the magazine. This left Bridget with no choice but to decide to agree.
She said, “I was still just gonna watch and then [one of the women] was like, ‘Aren’t you gonna go?’ It’s like, ‘You need to go.’ And I was like, ‘I would rather not.’ And she’s like, ‘Well, then you probably won’t be invited back.’ So then I was like, ‘Okay.’ And I’d seen what everybody else was doing, so I knew that this was like a 10-second thing. I mean, definitely no more than a minute.”
When Bridget was finally prepared, she devised a plan to ensure that she would be the first woman Hugh met with that evening. She said, “If there are new girls coming up, which there often were, like, I just wanted to be first and be done. And I felt like that was the cleanest way to be in and out of it.”
Bridget continues by clarifying that, in her opinion, the outcomes of her time spent in the house were “98% positive.” She also believes that the pleasant memories she has about her time spent at the home is one of the reasons why she is not featured in the recent “Secrets of Playboy” documentary series.
Bridget Marquardt alongside Holly Madison recently launched their own podcast, titled “Girls Next Level,” to reflect on their experiences with the Playboy founder.
