And one of them is the tale of Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer who ended up saving the day. The story is directly geared towards children, but this version has been recently getting so much criticism on the internet from people of all ages.

Hermey the elf who wishes to be a dentist is one of the characters being talked about. What made his character troubling is that the elf’s obsession with teeth is a bit unhealthy. Some people started questioning where the teeth that Hermey uses for his toys really came from. They are also wondering what he had to do to get all them.

Another thing that bothered the viewers is the relationship between some of the characters. They seem to be shallow and had no real emotion. Also, the notion that just because you saved someone does not really give you the entitlement that you should expect a romantic love in return was questioned. This is with regards to Rudolph’s relationship with the other characters.

Also, Santa Claus acting as the bully and not really being his true self that every child loved is another negative aspect of the story. At some point, Santa is even encouraging discrimination against Rudolph. He was also caught making condescending comments towards Mrs. Claus. Because of this, the show faced major criticism. A lot of viewers thought that the show promotes bullying in a way that they allowed Rudolph to be made fun of by his peers on different occasions.

Even though the show received a lot of criticisms, there are also people who defended the old narrative. They claim that when they were kids, they loved the show. And that some people are only overanalyzing just to find issues with it.

And on the other side, a lot of things were discussed when it comes to the positive aspects that were implemented because of the show. One of them is that, even when people are making fun of you and making you feel different, you can still act differently and do great things. This is one of the positive things being taught in the show.
