Girl Born With Black Eyes Dubbed ‘Vampire Girl,’ Has To Live Very Sad Life
A little girl in England has been dubbed “vampire girl” by her mother due to her unique condition. Born with eyes that are almost completely black, she is said to come to life at night.
The girl’s mother, Sarah, explained that her daughter’s eyes are not completely black, but rather a very dark brown that appears black in most lighting. The condition, known as iris hyperpigmentation, is rare and affects only a small number of people around the world.
Sarah stated that her daughter’s eyes have always been this way, even as a newborn. She described her daughter as being “hypnotic” and “strikingly beautiful,” but also noted that her daughter seems to be more active and alert at night, leading her to jokingly refer to her as a “vampire girl.”
Despite the initial shock and concern from some people who have seen her daughter’s eyes, Sarah said that she and her husband love their daughter just the way she is and wouldn’t change a thing about her.
While iris hyperpigmentation can be a sign of certain medical conditions, such as Horner’s syndrome or Waardenburg syndrome, Sarah said that her daughter has been thoroughly examined by medical professionals and does not have any underlying health issues.
Sarah also stated that her daughter’s unique appearance has led to some negative reactions from strangers, such as people crossing the street to avoid them or making cruel comments, but she chooses to focus on the positive reactions instead.
“I know some people might think she looks scary or unusual, but to us she is just our little girl,” she said.
Overall, Sarah hopes that her daughter’s story can help raise awareness about iris hyperpigmentation and educate people about not judging others based on their appearance.
“I want people to understand that just because someone looks different, it doesn’t mean they are scary or bad,” she said. “We should all be more accepting of each other’s differences and embrace them.”
