Hotel Will Pay Family $15,000 to Uncover Best State Fair
The season for Midwest’s iconic state fairs is here, and to commemorate this annual tradition, Wyndham hotels have launched an appealing gig for families — the AmericInn State Fair Family. The contest is looking for one daring family to journey across the Midwest and explore the state fairs’ best offerings. The chosen family will be given $15,000 to assist with their travels.
Covering fairs from Iowa to Illinois, the victorious family will be tasked with attending three remarkable state fairs within a week and sharing their expertise and discoveries on social media. In return for their adventures and social media insights into a variety of state fair experiences, from sampling powdered sugar-covered treats to taking on thrilling rides, the chosen family will receive seven paid nights at AmericInn hotels, a $10,000 travel stipend, and $5,000 cash. Additional perks include an AmericInn-branded suitcase full of merchandise, an upgrade to Wyndham Rewards® Diamond membership, and, most importantly, a wealth of unforgettable experiences.
“Alongside the good old-fashioned hospitality and modern comforts at our hotels, the lucky State Fair Family will fully immerse themselves in the best of the Midwest’s iconic state fairs,” said Clem Bence, VP and Brand Leader at AmericInn by Wyndham. “All while captivating an audience on social media with their memorable adventures along the way.”
Families interested in applying for this unique summer experience can do so by sending a written or video application to [email protected] or via the application page on the AmericInn website by July 25. Applications should highlight what makes the family perfect for the role in less than a minute or 300 words. They should illustrate the family’s flair, fun, and social media savvy, and public or active social media handles should be included. The use of video in applications is highly encouraged, as it helps evaluate storytelling skills and social media proficiency.
The winning family will be selected around the week of August 2. They must be available to visit three separate Midwest state fairs within a week, specifically from August 10-18, and document their adventures in real-time through unique photo and video content.
