Kindergarten Teacher Made Her Student Eat Poop

Jasper is a 67-year-old kindergarten teacher at Mamie Aplon. She has provided years of wonderful service to the community. But a single mistake might lead her to spend a year behind bars and paying a hefty fine. What she did was beyond disgusting. It was utterly unacceptable and many people believe that she deserves to learn the lesson for her actions the hard way.

The teacher was initially charged with a misdemeanor of “official suppression” but now, people will never look at her the same way again.

The prosecutors were very outspoken and used blunt language in their descriptions. Reports reveal that this well-respected Few Primary School teacher made one boy “eat his own feces” as a form of punishment. Superintendent Dr. Steve Hyden of Jasper Independent School District explained that the allegations were reported on the same day that the teacher forced this child to eat poop.

According to the prosecutors, the incident should worry all parents. They explained that on September 25, 2019, Aplon forced the child to “eat his own feces” and also perform debasing acts of mistreatment.

Superintendent Dr. Hyden addressed the allegations through a statement from the school district. As soon as this was reported, Aplon was immediately placed on administrative leave. During an interview with 12 News, the superintendent explained, “The district has cooperated fully during the investigation of this matter and will continue to do so. As this is a sensitive student and personnel matter, the district cannot provide further details about the incident. However, the issue of the safety and wellbeing of Jasper students is our top priority.”

A month after the incident happened, Jasper County grand jury indicted the teacher on October 31, 2019. According to the indictment, Aplon purposely forced the victim, E.J., to horrible acts of mistreatment in which the teacher was aware of it being “unlawful” causing E.J. to “eat his own feces” while “acting under the color of her employment as an educator.”

Her guilt has not been proven yet and Aplon needs to go to court to defend herself. But if convicted, she might spend a year in prison and have to pay a fine of up to $4,000. This might be nothing compared to the verdict for some people, but for a senior citizen like her, this is going to be tough.

Even though these accusations were disgusting and unacceptable, her friends and colleagues jumped into her defense. They said that this veteran educator is an extremely compassionate teacher. They said that she “loves all of her students” and that she is the kind of person that would not do such a thing to this poor child.

Her supporters on social media also jumped to her defense. One colleague and fellow educator, Nancy Pace, wrote, “This is one of my dearest friends, Mamie Aplon. I’ve said many times that I need to write a book “Everything I know about Teaching, I Learned at Recess.” I had the pleasure of two years of the recess with this lady, and she sure did teach me a lot about teaching.”

Aplon happens to be the daughter of former Jasper Mayor, R.C. Horn. Weeks ago, she stood before the County Judge Mark Allen as her bond was set at $10,000.
