Madonna Found Unresponsive, Please pray
Madonna, the iconic pop star known as the Material Girl, had to postpone her “Celebration” tour due to a severe bacterial infection that resulted in her hospitalization. According to a report by Page Six, Madonna was found unresponsive and was rushed to a hospital in New York City, where she was allegedly intubated for at least one night before the tube was removed. The report confirmed that Madonna is now alert, responsive, and has been moved out of the intensive care unit (ICU).
Guy Oseary, Madonna’s manager, confirmed her hospitalization through an Instagram post but did not elaborate on details surrounding her intubation. In his post, Oseary stated, “On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU. Her health is improving however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.” He further mentioned that all commitments, including the tour, would need to be put on hold for the time being. However, he assured that the dates impacted by this postponement would be rescheduled.
Madonna’s “Celebration” tour was set to be an extensive 84-date global venture, commencing in Vancouver, Canada, on July 15. The tour aimed to encompass music from her illustrious 40-year career. Madonna expressed her enthusiasm for the tour in a statement back in January, where she said, “I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for.”
Lourdes Leon, Madonna’s daughter, has been a steadfast source of support, staying by her mother’s side throughout this medical emergency.
In the period leading up to her hospitalization, Madonna had been actively preparing for her tour. Her most recent social media post prior to the incident showed her in rehearsals, with the caption, “The Calm Before The Storm.”
As of now, Madonna is expected to make a full recovery, though she remains under medical care. Her fans and the music industry eagerly await further updates on her health and the rescheduling of her “Celebration” tour.
