Mama Cat Jumps Into Action After Hearing Kitten Crying In Toddlers’ Arms

Not all babies are afraid of animals. There are toddlers who are fond of them, especially puppies and kittens. However, parents or adults should closely monitor toddlers who are with the animals because there are still so many things that they have to learn, especially when it comes to handling these animals.

Many children are born to a family that has pets already. But not all pets are excited to be around children.

Some toddlers are not aware of the correct way to interact or handle pets. They can act as if they are toys. Kids can pull their tail or end up hurting the animal. They can get hurt too but this is part of the learning process. As they grow older, they will soon learn how to treat animals gently.

Parents love to take pictures and videos of their little ones interacting with their fur babies. A video has gone viral where a little girl is interacting with a mother cat and one of her kittens.

This little girl grew up with a litter of Siamese kittens. In the video, she can be seen holding one of the kittens. But she was holding it so tightly that you can hear the kitten started to cry. The girl probably is not aware that she is already hurting the kitten. And we know that when the cat or kitten starts to cry, that means that it is unhappy. Nobody wants to hold a cat against its will because hey can be fierce too. And babies are yet to learn about this, just like this little girl.

When the mother cat heard this, she started to pay upon the little girl. As if asking her to let the poor kitten go. The mother cat is surely determined to intervene and save her kitten from the innocent toddler’s tight hold.

The little girl is not concerned about the kitten crying. She is even more scared of the mother cat. And because of her perseverance, the toddler finally let go of the kitten and the mother cat stopped pawing at her.

The little girl surely enjoyed her time with the kitten, but it doesn’t seem the same with the animal. But there is no doubt that soon, the toddler would learn how to be gentle with her pet kittens. And the animals would learn to love her back too. They would get along in the future but for now, the kitten might be safer with her mother.

When introducing animals to children, the American Humane website explains that it would be best to go for the adult pet first. It is nice to have a toddler get acquainted with a kitten, but they are more fragile than the older ones. Children can be very active and too rough for fragile kittens. And if not guided properly, it can end up to injuries to the kitten. Also, kittens have sharp teeth and claws and it can also hurt the delicate young toddler.

Make sure that you demonstrate to our child how to appropriately handle a cat. Toddlers are smarter than we think they are. So setting as a good example in handling your pets at home would be the best way for your children to learn.
