Michael J Fox’s Son Is Now All Grown Up And He Could Be His Twin
The resemblance between parents and their children can be quite striking at times. Children sometimes inherit some apparent features from their parents that make the two almost indistinguishable. This is certainly the case for Michael Fox and his firstborn son Sam Fox. While the latter is at least half a foot taller, the two could easily pass as each other’s doubles, and one could easily mistake the junior for the senior. At a glance at the two while sitting down, one can easily conclude that they are twins.
The junior Fox and his siblings were brought up in New York and had what can be termed as a normal childhood. Despite having celebrity parents, they have been kept out of the limelight for most of the time with few appearances in some red carpet events.
When Sam graduated from high school, he joined Stanford University and graduated with the class of 2012. He then started working with an online firm before venturing into sales for another company. He seems to be following in his dad’s footsteps and is well known for the 70th Golden Globe award-winning film Himself.
Michael Fox was born in 1961 in Canada and seems to have followed in the footsteps of his mother who was not only a payroll clerk but also an actress. He entered the film world when he was just fifteen and got to star in a Canadian series Leo and Me which was produced and aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. He moved to the US three years later to further his career but moved back to Canada after his marriage to Tracy Pollan. The couple has four children; Sam, twins Aquinnah and Schuyler, and the last born Esme.
Fox’s career as an actor has been reasonably successful, and he has numerous awards to show for it. His appearances and roles in certain shows and movies such as the world-famous Family Ties have earned him a reputation in the filming world. He has also played voice-overs for Disney’s Stuart Little sequels.
He has also been featured in many famous magazines and newspapers and has received both positive and negative criticism from world-famous producers and film icons. All this has worked to build him, and it is no wonder the man has been honored many times; he has been inducted into the Canadian hall of fame. He also has a theatre named after him in his old high school, and the government has granted him the Freedom of the City.
In 1991, Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. He was only 21 then, and he disclosed his condition to the world seven years later. This made him the fourth member of the Leo and Me cast who developed the disease in their midlife.
This prompted an investigation to be carried out to affirm whether any environmental factors were involved. He founded the Michael J Fox Foundation that is devoted towards research to find a cure for the disease. He has also written three books that tell a lot about his life and experiences. His junior Sam has since been heavily involved in his the foundation’s efforts. He has just taken up acting and is likely to build a career as successful as that of his dad.
