Rescued ‘baby hedgehog’ turns out to be a pom pom from a hat
In Cheshire, England, a kind woman thought she found a little lost baby hedgehog on the side of the road. Wanting to help, she gently picked it up and took it home. She was so caring that she didn’t even touch it much. She just put it in a box with some cat food and made sure it was warm and dark, thinking it would make the little creature comfortable.
The next day, worried because the tiny “hedgehog” hadn’t moved or shown any signs of life, like eating or going to the bathroom, she took it to a nearby animal hospital for help. There, the vets had surprising news for her. They told her that what she had rescued wasn’t a hedgehog at all, but actually the pom pom from the top of a hat!
Even though it was a mix-up, the lady had a big heart. She only wanted to help what she thought was a helpless animal. The vets admired her for her kindness and for doing her best to take care of what she believed was a tiny creature in need. They even shared the story online, saying it’s important to be kind, even if the one you’re helping turns out to be a hat decoration instead of an animal.
