San Diego Man Allegedly Used Magic To Save Marriage Before Killed His Wife

California mother May “Maya” Millete, 39, was killed by her husband, Larry Millete. Now, more information has been released by the authorities after Larry was arrested in connection to her death.

San Diego County district attorney Summer Stephan stated in a press release that Larry, 40, is now facing charges of murder and illegal possession of an assault weapon.

According to Stephan, Maya was last seen at her Chula Vista home on the evening of January. She was killed by Larry after she asked him for divorce. He explained, “Sometimes missing person cases remain unsolved, but as the evidence unfolded in this case, meticulously and carefully, block-by-block, it pointed in one direction: May was murdered. The only thing we can do in the face of this senseless violence is to bring justice.”

What’s great about the California law is that it allows prosecutors to file murder charges even if the body is still missing. Stephan believes that in Maya’s case, there is “circumstantial evidence that there was foul play, and that it was murder because somebody who took their own life can’t hide their own body.”

Based on an investigation into Maya’s disappearance, it showed that she had been asking for a divorce from Larry since 2020 “for many reasons.” He also describes their marriage as a “toxic relationship” and that Maya “tried to negotiate” with Larry to be co-parents to their children. However, her husband “would not have it.”

Stephan adds: “In homicide cases, there is often a triggering event. In this case, on Jan. 7, 2021, May was no longer talking about divorce. She took that step, and the last call recorded that May made was to a divorce attorney. She did not make any further calls.” The attorney added that Larry “was aware” that Maya was already moving forward with her plans for a divorce. In fact, she allegedly sent screenshots to his boss through text messages to let him know that “this was final.”

Also, before Maya disappeared, Larry allegedly contacted “spellcasters.” These are people who are believed to have magical abilities. Larry contacted them to “make Maya stay in the relationship.” He further adds, “But as December of 2020 came, those messages to spellcasters were a lot more threatening. He was asking for May to become incapacitated, for May to be in an accident, to have broken bones so that she could stay at home, thus displaying his homicidal ideations to harm May.”

Stephan also said that Maya had already set an appointment to meet with the divorce lawyer on January 12th. The last instance that her family received a text message from her was on the night of January 7th, the same day that Larry had allegedly texted someone else saying:

“I think she wants me to snap” and “I’m shaking inside ready to snap.”

Stephan said that Maya’s phone activity stopped at around 1:25 AM on January 8th.

During the investigation, authorities found CCTV footage of Larry at 5:58 AM on January 8th. He was repositioning the family’s black Lexus to a spot in the garage. The back of the car was at an angle that could not be seen by the camera.

Then at around 6:45 in the morning of the same day, Larry left the home with his 4-year-old child. He left his phone as well as his two older kids and they were gone for 11 hours and 21 minutes. When he was questioned by the investigators where he and his child went, Larry told them they went to Solana Beach.
