As Soon As The Photographer Looked At Photo, She Begged Mom To Rush Toddler To The ER

Little Presley Marshal looked as healthy as she could be. The seven-month-old toddler cried as much as any other baby, and she never gave her parents any reason to suspect that anything was wrong with her. They were therefore quite alarmed when a photographer advised them to seek urgent medical diagnosis after a photo session.

Presley’s dad, Darren, had been quite a busy man even over the Christmas holidays. He worked the entire month and had barely had the time for festivities with his family. For this reason, the couple decided to go on a short family trip to Tenerife so that they could make up for the lost time. Presley’s mother, Sophie, and her father gathered up their children and set out for what they hoped would be an enjoyable vacation.

A few days before their return, the family decided to have a small photo session at their hotel room. They hired Alessia, a local photographer who also happened to know a few things about retinoblastoma. The children were dressed and photographed, and Alessia left after assuring the family that the photographs would be ready for collection soon.
Sophie and Darren went to collect the photos the day before their return home, and they were met by a grim Alessia who looked somewhat worried. She called them aside and showed the printouts. One particular photo caught their attention. It was Presley’s, and something looked off.

In the photo, Presley’s right eye was white, and the left was red. It was not uncommon for people’s eyes to look red in photographs, and Sophie quickly dismissed the white one as a mere effect of light. She asked Alessia if she could do something about it, and her answer made their hairs stand.

The photographer told them that it was normal for eyes to come out white in photographs. She was not sure what was wrong, but as she was a little informed on retinoblastoma, she advised Sophie and Darren to take their baby to the hospital as soon as they could for examination. They then took the photos and left, trying to assure themselves that nothing was wrong with their daughter. Alessia’s words had, however, raised some significant amount of concern, and they were not about to take any chances on their baby.

As soon as they set foot in their hometown, Jarrow, the couple rushed Presley to hospital. The explained what their photographers had said, and the little girl was taken it for some tests. After a thorough diagnosis, the doctor confirmed their fears; something was indeed wrong, and treatment had to start immediately.

The doctors let them know that Presley had a little white ball that had grown on the optical nerve of her right eye. The condition was quite serious, but it would be easy to treat since they had found it out early enough. The baby was then put on chemotherapy sessions and other cancer medication, and they were assured that she would be fine in no time at all.
Sophie and her husband are more than grateful to Alessia. She had saved their daughter’s eyesight and perhaps, her life. If it were not for her, they would have never known about the cancerous tumor and Presley may have lost her vision or even worse, her life.
