Woman From Maine Is Selling Christmas Gifts With Surprise That Has People Gagging. Look Closely
Every day we try to recycle things that we can still make use of. However, this woman from Maine is taking the recycling process to the next level! Her products may seem hilarious but it can surely put a smile on every face.
She is making unique artworks and her masterpieces are going viral because she is using natural resources: moose poop! Yes, you read it right! This clever woman is using the things that most of us are dreading to talk about and turn them into what she calls ‘Tirdy Works Arts.’
Mary Winchenbach, a 57 years old woman from Somerville became an instant internet sensation after her “Tirdy Works” arts and knickknacks became the talk of the town at the Common Ground Fair. She gained national attention this week when a video of her selling these products made of moose poop went viral. The video now has over 2 million views and she claims that she already received requests from people all around the country for her to send them unusual items and have them shipped to their homes.
Every since her video went viral, she has done local and international interviews and according to her, the business has been booming! She is now using the internet to sell figurines, clocks, and other artworks that consolidates the real “Maine Moose Tirds.” During her interview with WABI-TV, she says:
“Everyone takes a crap. Everyone goes to the bathroom so everyone can relate to that. The terms that I used to name these products are everyday terms that people are used to hearing so I just kind of try to combine the two to come up with something halfway decent that’s funny.”
One of her products is the cuckoo clock and this is called the “Poopoo O’clock.” She said, “We took them turds and we cram them in between the number there so there’s one turdy – two turdy- three turdy.” This is just one of the many products that she offers. She also makes earrings, dangling people that she calls “Fecal People”, Christmas ornaments, and so much more! She even says that she also sells some religious items where the moose poops are incorporated with it.
According to Winchenbach, all of her Tirdy Works are sourced from the local feces. One of her challenges is getting her materials for her product. But in order to do that, they go out and track the moose wherever they are going and then, later on, found out that when they walk about 50 yards in any direction, they will take another poop. She says that she just has to collect them, dried it up and painted it with a coating to make it safe.
This is surely a simple but very efficient business! It’s already going viral and she doesn’t know when the next local stop will be. But now, she’s using Facebook to help sell her products and get the materials that she needs! The Tirdy Works Facebook page is flooding with offers from the locals for the moose tirds that they have to offer Winchenbach.
Winchenbach says that she started this business because she has too much time on her hands and she loves to make other people laugh. She sure did!
